Herbs, Vegetables, Fruits, Unusual Edibles
Vegetables, fruits, herbs, and even edible “weeds” and houseplants can contribute variety and taste to a healthy lifestyle.
Learn through organic garden coaching, edible landscape coaching, garden mentoring, gardening classes, pick your brain sessions, wild herb walks, plus my books on herbs and edible plants.
My mother was surprised when I graduated from Utah State University in Ornamental Horticulture since I didn’t appreciate the experience of weeding the garden while growing up. I do appreciate the experience now but I also think that there are inspiring ways to learn and teach people of all ages to appreciate growing their own food.
While working for other companies and now in my own business I have consulted with hundreds of clients and designed, planted, and maintained such diverse gardens as herb, flower, native, and show gardens for individuals, businesses, and gardens open for public use.
I was offered pay by someone who wanted to pick my brain and then he said that he would like to attend gardening classes if I began teaching. The past few years I have taught classes including: Organic Gardening, Herb Gardening, Composting, Organic Lawn Care, Gardening In Survival Times, Wild Edible Plants, and Square Foot Gardening.
What About Herbs? Growing & Using Herbs came about because I wanted to write an herb book that I would want. I think you will enjoy it also. Reconnecting with Kathy Wilson gave me the opportunity to write Herbs to Know 2: Wild Medicinal & Edible Plants and Herbs to Grow. Visit my book section for more information or to purchase. Please connect with me for updates including the release of a recipe book for cooking with herbs and a wild edible plant card set.
Gardening season or not? You can learn to grow your own food and tend your yard. Don’t have a yard? Learn to grow food in your apartment, condo, etc.
